How you make a difference:
As the Vice President of Workforce Management, you will spearhead initiatives aimed at optimizing labor and resource management to meet contractual obligations and ensure efficient staffing for critical patient care. With a focus on effective labor management, Position Control Management, and Labor Scheduling, you will lead the operations of the Workforce Management team to achieve strategic objectives and enhance organizational efficiency. By implementing robust staffing strategies and overseeing resource allocation, you will play a pivotal role in maximizing the utilization of labor resources while maintaining high standards of patient care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive labor and resource management strategies, leveraging innovative approaches and technologies to optimize workforce capabilities and meet business needs.
  • Oversee workforce planning, forecasting, and performance analysis, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and enhance productivity.
  • Lead the optimization of workforce management tools, including scheduling and position control, through partnerships with vendors and internal teams, driving efficiency and flexibility.
  • Drive the development of centralized scheduling processes and collaborate with department heads to create efficient schedules that meet business requirements and employee needs.
  • Evaluate market trends, industry benchmarks, and long-term workforce plans in collaboration with senior leadership, making data-driven decisions to continuously optimize scheduling practices and drive strategic workforce adjustments.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, health care administration, or a related field is required. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of workforce management, labor, and scheduling experience in the healthcare industry. Minimum of 5 years of experience leading Operations or centralized scheduling teams.
  • Experience with Ultimate Kronos Group’s (UKG) Workforce management tool is highly preferred.
