This position is for Vice President, Portfolio Management, Quebec Region
To lead the Quebec region’s property management-operations, ensuring the optimization and delivery of tangible results through effective leadership. This primarily consists of managing a group of senior property managers, their respective clients, and developing the business strategy to ensure exemplary client service through a considered approach to developing deep and broad relationships with our clients.
The Vice President works collaboratively with the Vice-President Finance and Leasing, to ensure ongoing successful service to each client. This position will participate in business development activities to help meet growth targets for both revenue and EBITDA.
Summary of Essential Job Functions

Operations Management

  • In conjunction with VP Leasing and Finance, develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets. Conduct revenue/expense analyses and provide corporate management reports as required.
  • Participate in the development of operational standards across the country.
  • Manage the business to a plan with clearly stated and measurable goals and objectives.
  • Conscientiously manage the business with integrity to protect and enhance the Colliers brand and reputation in the market.
  • Proactively pursue strategies for our clients that achieve their goals.
  • Maintain excellent relations with key existing clients and targeted potential clients within Quebec.
  • Actively participates in the elaboration of the Annual Operating Plan that will support the achievement of objectives set by Colliers.
  • Ensure the development of a strong, effective team that works as a cohesive unit within the region and between each department in the achievement of business objectives.
  • Act as the advocate of the company’s vision, communicating the corporate vision internally and to the market.

Leadership

  • Manage team of Sr. Property Managers and construction department, ensuring a high level of service to clients in accordance with corporate standards and values.
  • Manage, motivate, encourage, and mentor team members to achieve client, Colliers, and personal business goals.
  • Build and mentor a strong customer-centric team designed to support the Clients’ investment goals exceptional service.
  • Build and maintain a positive presence in the real estate business community through industry associations, networking opportunities, etc.
  • Knows well the Quebec business community and likely well known.
  • Support and develop an Advisory culture in the team to deliver to help our clients to achieve their investment goals faster.

Business Development

  • Continually seek opportunities to expand the business base by working collaboratively with the senior management team and through regular contact with key clients / target clients.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7-10 years of commercial property management experience in a senior leadership role, with a focus on Retail and Office asset classes.
  • Continuous commitment to an understanding of the commercial real estate industry, and specifically Colliers’ stature in the local market.
  • Understanding of economic indicators and the impact on commercial real estate.
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures as well as Sarbanes Oxley and CSAE 3416 (formerly CICA s5970) regulations.
  • Strong and effective leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service at all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • Ability to develop systems/processes and/or teams that are flexible, adaptable and results-oriented reaching the goal of maximum efficiency.
  • Strong organizational, time management and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • High level of professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills. Strong team player and Collaborative style.
