At KCS the VP Product for Platform Services will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our platform services, including Layered Applications, Shared Services, eCommerce, Apps, Payment Gateway, and Payment Integrations. This role demands a visionary leader with a strategic mindset, capable of driving product innovation and excellence. The VP will lead a talented team, including the Directors of PM for Shared Services & Integrations and PM for Payments & Apps, to deliver on the company’s ambitious goals

  • Leadership: Proven experience leading product teams, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and drive results.

  • Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of platform services, including layered applications, eCommerce, and payment systems, with a grasp of current technological trends.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Excellent collaboration skills to work across functions and the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Market Insight: Expertise in market analysis, customer insights, and competitive landscape to guide product strategy.
  • Innovation Management: Ability to foster a culture of innovation and lead the development of cutting-edge product solutions.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including customers, partners, and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

  • ‘Lead the strategic development and execution of KCS’s platform services vision, including Layered Applications, Shared Services, eCommerce, Apps, Payment Gateway, and Payment Integrations, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and market needs.
  • Drive product innovation and excellence, leveraging a deep understanding of technology trends and customer insights to guide the direction of platform services.
  • Directly oversee and mentor the Directors of Product Management for Shared Services & Integrations and Payments & Apps, fostering a culture of collaboration, agility, and high performance.
  • Champion a data-driven approach to decision-making, integrating advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to enhance product functionality and user experience.
  • Conduct rigorous market analysis and competitive research to inform strategic planning and positioning of platform services in the global marketplace.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with key departments—architecture, engineering, PMO, DevOps, UI/UX, sales, marketing, and customer support—to ensure product strategies are cohesively executed and deliver maximum value.
  • Lead innovation initiatives, encouraging the exploration of new technologies and methodologies to maintain and extend the competitive edge of KCS’s platform services.
  • Engage and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers, to gather insights, foster partnerships, and reinforce KCS’s leadership in the market.
  • Undertake international and UK travel to work with global teams and understand international market dynamics, ensuring KCS’s platform services are globally competitive and meet diverse customer needs.
