REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related; and
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related Finance occupation.
  • Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Integrating a range of systems including general ledger, sub-ledger, and front end trading system in order to perform and execute financial control and analysis;
  • Reviewing and analyzing various forms of P&L attribution, Income statements, Balance Sheets and Regulatory /Financial disclosures;
  • Assessing financial product valuations and risks, with emphasis on Equity derivatives, to substantiate and explain P&L and balance sheet; and,
  • Investigating and resolving systems issues by analyzing & reconciling large data sets from multiple systems and technologies, including but not limited to trading systems, sub-ledgers and general ledgers.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize thorough knowledge and understanding of product, process and inherent risk.
  • Prepare analysis and performing critical testing and calculations in support of Sub-LOB.
  • Produce financial reporting and disclosures, assisting in production of regulatory matters analysis including CCAR and RRP.
  • Analyze and substantiate P&L attributes and balance sheets, establishing infrastructure for new products, performing month end close and periodic analysis, and validating postings and balances.
  • Interact with Front Office and support groups.
  • Report and provide oversight over Profit and Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheets on a daily basis.
  • Provide daily P&L reports to local and regional management.
  • Review material new deals, and both reviewing and approving changes to valuation adjustments and reserves.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis. Perform price verification and other valuation control routines.
  • Mitigate operational risk as appropriate.
