Description:
We’re looking for a VP of Strategic Finance, who will play a pivotal role in the future of our company. Our VP of Strategic Finance will be responsible for finance, legal, HR and IT as well as the supply chain of our products. You’ll be managing/collaborating closely with the whole team, as well as providing the overall support for all IT & Finance related topics.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or similar discipline
- 7+ years of experience managing a company budget, forecasting revenue and being accountable for operational compliance
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, Swiss regulations and local tax requirements
- Ability to navigate through matrix environment, partnering up with people up, down and sideways in the organization
- Previous experience working for a global fast paced start-up / scale-up
- Ability to leverage technology to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency
- Strong analytical skills to identify and solve complex financial problems
- Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate future challenges and opportunities
- Strong leadership skills and experience as a people manager
- Good oral and written communication and presentation skills in English
Responsibilities:
- Long-range strategic planning, capital budgeting and operational planning
- Lead development of the the Annual Operating Plan; manage the monthly FP&A processes (reporting, budgeting, forecasting)
- Lead the design and implementation of various ERP systems (financial reporting, financial planning, demand planning, inventory management and A/R and A/P systems)
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements including US GAAP
- Support project cost calculations and project controlling
- Offer support for financial, legal, HR and operational compliance
- Create and maintain company policies and related compliance tasks
- Consult our leadership team on finance and operational matters, make sure they stick to the plan (and the deadlines) and have control over the budget
- Maintain and develop positive and professional working relationships with all stakeholders within and also outside of the organization
- You will have an impact on the business by improving efficient and start-up/scale-up appropriate workflows and processes
- Managing and owning accounts payables and receivables for different entities in different geographies
- Managing and engaging with important vendors and suppliers including accounting, legal, taxes, insurances, banks, logistics companies
