PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate selected for this position will be a creative, out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious with a demonstrated interest in learning. This person will also need to be a self-motivated, high-energy individual who can easily function in a high demand, performance-driven environment. He/she must be accustomed to working on multiple tasks in parallel. This professional must demonstrate strong leadership skills, best demonstrated by the individual’s ability to gain credibility with team members and senior management. The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or related subject or equivalent; an MBA is preferred
  • Experience and training from strategy and transformation group at a leading consulting firm
  • Be modest in nature, recognizing the accomplishments of the team before the individual
  • Express high level of motivation and possess vision and enthusiasm
  • Show comfort in acting as an individual contributor and as a team manager (Player/Coach)
  • Communicate in an open and honest way that quickly builds trust and respect
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Showcase flexibility, comfort, influence and agility in delivering presentations
  • Possess a solid operational background and proven track record of accomplishments
  • Experience working in an organization with complex infrastructure, applications, and procedures in a cross-functional team environment

  • Robust computer skills using MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and familiarity with specialty applications for project and resource collaboration

  • Ability to showcase learning agility and ability to digest a large amount of information quickly and figure out what is most important

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be a catalyst to realize key financial and operational initiative targets
  • Drive results that impact company EBITDA
  • Achieve Project Gold financial EBITDA targets in 2024
  • Help support strategic planning approach and key company value creation activities, as appropriate
  • Identify, define, and prioritize key value creation opportunities
  • Organize, resource, plan and help oversee key initiatives’ achievement, as appropriate
  • Lead and drive key projects
  • Partner with senior leaders (BU leaders, functional leaders, etc.) to align on priorities, resources, and roles ensuring joint accountability.
  • Deploy best practice project management tools and techniques to ensure clear goals, milestones, timelines, metrics.
  • Track, react, and trouble shoot projects to hit targets with transparency and active/engaged management from the Business Units…run the PMO
  • Set a standard for project execution and delivery. Build a track record of results that creates trust and followership.
  • Help establish a robust operating cadence and management system that will deliver key value creation initiatives.

Business Support: Act as a collaborate partner on behalf of the CFO and CEO (and a utility player) to drive results as needed across the business

  • Selectively dive into key issues to create clarity, action, and impact.
  • As/when appropriate, key ad hoc analysis around major business issues, decisions

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure alignment of FORTNA activities with the organizational strategy and reports regularly on goals progress and key business metrics to FORTNA business leadership and peers
  • Develop goals and metrics to drive execution of strategic initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement to maximize organizational capabilities and realize financial gains
  • Provide hands-on oversight of projects to ensure timely execution, follow-up, and closure of issues
  • Assure that efforts to improve the efficiency of the company is emphasized through creative organizational management, effective use of tools, appropriate training, and continuous improvement
  • Quantify that continuous improvement projects follow sound methodology and execution practices
  • Work with international partners both inside and out of organization to improve local effectiveness.
  • Devise innovative strategies to cost-effectively accomplish objectives while ensuring that overall efforts are in concert with company requirements.
  • Manage risks and take aggressive measures to avoid incurring costs that typically have substantial financial impact
  • Serve as primary interface to identify problems, devise innovative solutions, negotiate, and reach mutually satisfactory agreement
