Position Description:
The VP, Supply Chain Engineering is a newly created role within the Supply Chain Operations Leadership Team. They will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction in the Engineering, Operations Specialist’s, and Facilities Management functions of the Supply Chain. The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing the end-to-end Supply Chain Operations processes, and ensuring efficient processes, productivity enhancements and automation enhancements to meet organizational goals and customer demands. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in supply chain engineering, supply chain management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
The VP, Supply Chain Engineering must be comfortable in a sophisticated distribution network, comfortable to drive success within a fast pace and high-volume customer environment. Cross collaborative and strategic oversight are key while being able to work with teams and departments within this distribution network.

Supply Chain Engineering Leadership: - 35%

  • Productivity Initiatives: Short term / long term strategy
  • Network Demand & Process Improvement
  • Slotting & Inventory Management

Facilities Management: - 25%

  • Maintenance Program Development & Leadership
  • Short term / long term strategy
  • Material Handling Equipment Program oversight

Operations Specialist / Projects: - 20%

  • Process Improvement
  • Network Projects

Supply Chain Automation Strategy: - 20%

  • Vendor Leadership
  • Capex Management

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excels within high volume distribution network
  • Proven Industrial Engineer, with track record of network productivity deployed initiatives
  • Track record of P&L leadership in Supply Chain environment, Annual Capex management
  • Cultivates vendor relationships within automaton & engineering partnerships
  • Effective communication and proven leader, capable of building strong teams
  • Strategic leader, with advanced data & analysis skillset to drive process improvement change with Operations Teams

Experience and Education:

  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from 4-year college or university required; master’s in engineering or MBA preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Physical requirements of the role: N/A
  • Travel: 50%

Other:

  • Project Management and/or Continuous Improvement Experience helpful
  • Green Belt+ certification preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Tier 1 WMS in background
