Chrono Aviation was founded in Quebec in 2012. Initially, the airline operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Chrono quickly attracted customers looking for a comfortable, efficient, and safe flight experience.
After a decade of operation, Chrono Aviation has grown its fleet to 15 aircraft and employs over 280 people. Chrono is the only airline in Quebec that offers planes accommodating from 9 to 120 passengers exclusively for charter. With bases in Montreal and Quebec, Chrono Aviation continues to expand and strengthen its position as a leader in the air charter industry in Quebec and Canada.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in aeronautical engineering, aircraft maintenance, or a related field.
  • Recognized Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) license.
  • Significant experience in aircraft maintenance management, preferably in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of civil aviation regulations (e.g., FAA, Transport Canada).
  • Ability to work under pressure in a regulated environment.
  • Experience in budget management and cost control.
  • Proficiency in French is required for this position. Additionally, a strong command of English is also required to interact with suppliers and English-speaking experts in Canada or elsewhere in the world.
  • Availability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities:

ROLE AND CONTEXT

The Vice President Technical Operations (maintenance) is responsible for managing and overseeing all aircraft maintenance control activities of the company. This key role ensures that all aircraft are maintained to the highest safety standards and in compliance with civil aviation regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the planning and implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance programs for the aircraft fleet.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international regulations.
  • Manage the maintenance department budget, including approving parts and equipment purchases.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional development of the fleet management team.
  • Collaborate closely with flight operations to minimize maintenance-related disruptions.
  • Ensure the update and accuracy of all maintenance documents and aircraft records.
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies or processes to improve maintenance efficiency.
  • Regularly communicate with aircraft manufacturers and service providers regarding maintenance issues.
  • Manage internal and external maintenance audits and implement corrective actions if necessary.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports to the executive management.
