The VP, Business Development will oversee international commercial growth for the Salesforce Practice whilst being a senior point of contact for customers and partners. The role will be the primary liaison for international markets with Publicis Sapient Client Executives, Industry Leaders, Salesforce key contacts and project sponsors. This impactful role will give guidance and strategic direction to an international workforce, strategize, and oversee the division’s international growth plans and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels internally and externally.

Your Impact:

  • Meet and exceed business unit growth plans.
  • Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Partner with Publicis Sapient Industry teams and other Subject Matter Experts to create joint Propositions that are vertically focused.
  • Network within the industry, market, and accounts to bring new opportunities.
  • Identify/develop key partner strategies for specific customers and market segments.
  • Communicate effectively at all client levels.
  • Help create and drive industry-based and product-based propositions around the Salesforce platform for our customers and prospects.
  • Coordinate & manage communication and deal-flow with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee and support, when required, phases of the business development cycle to successful close (including proposal development, implementation estimating, scope construction, and client presentations).
  • Proactively target market segments through active leadership in industry and community organizations.
  • Manage international Salesforce forecasts efficiently and accurately.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to effectively plan and execute resource.
  • Ensure adequate industry specific and technology solution expertise is available for international sales processes.
  • Maintain and nurture client relationships at senior management level.
  • Assist in the coordination and integration of acquisition targets when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience of leading face-to-face Sales and Client Engagement activities regarding Salesforce consulting and professional services offerings (with a Salesforce distributor or Salesforce practice of a management consultancy) is highly desirable.
  • Experience of overseeing a large customer portfolio, associated p&l and senior stakeholder relationships within a Salesforce distributor or Salesforce practice of a management consultancy is essential.
  • Strong key account management and business development skills and experience (gained at senior management level) are essential.
  • Customer account level profit and loss management experience is important.
  • A passion for people, leadership, equality, and society is essential.
  • Strong global leadership capability to manage large teams and lead change while inspiring and developing others is essential.
  • Strong learning mindset and drive for continuous evolution and self-improvement is essential. Including cultivating learning agility, development of personal adaptability, and pursuit of excellence.
  • Ability to and experience of displaying how the Salesforce Platform Model brings value to customers and how the model can be sold in the context of the industry is essential.
  • Project definition and delivery knowledge, and experience of managing external client projects as a trusted advisor and consultant is essential.
  • RFP response management experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of enterprise systems (CRM, SFA, and ERP) are essential.
  • Stakeholder management and collaboration skills and experience are essential in order to build strong relationships with customer senior management and internally across Publicis Sapient’s capabilities.
  • Analytical approach to identifying business challenges; visionary and creative approach towards their solutions is essential.
  • Openness to travel and work at client site when necessary is essential.
  • Ability to work within a matrix organisation structure is essential.
