MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or 1st degree + PGCE is essential (as per ADEK criteria).
- A Master’s degree, NPQML or NPQSL, or international equivalent, qualification is desirable but not essential.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- As per ADEK, a minimum of 6 years of teaching experience, with a minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership role.
- Line/Performance Management or leading a curriculum project/team and proven experience in improving instruction experience is required.
- Experience in leading whole school initiatives that have led to improvement in standards and achievement.
- Knowledge of US curriculum (AERO) is desirable, but not essential.

Job Description:
The successful candidate must have a record of effectively leading curriculum development to raise attainment, an excellent knowledge of instruction and coaching strategies, and a track record of implementing effective strategies to raise standards and plug gaps in learning. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate leadership skills/experiences at a variety of levels.
The successful candidate will understand the priorities to move the school forward. Also, able and willing to coach and motivate others when support is needed and effective in working collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities:
- Work with the Principal to raise the quality of teaching and learning and students’ achievement; setting high expectations and monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of learning outcomes. A highly effective leader who can model best practices if necessary.
- Provide regular feedback for colleagues in a way that recognizes good practice and supports their progress against professional and performance management objectives resulting in a tangible impact on students’ learning.
- Develop whole staff, phase teams, and individuals to enhance performance.
- Contributing to the writing of SEF and SIP.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in the curriculum and disseminate effectively to other members of staff. Join Network groups.
- Plan, delegate, and evaluate work carried out by team(s) and individuals.
- Create, maintain, and enhance effective relationships.
- Recruit and select teaching and support staff.
