EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
    Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Victim Register Coordinator within the Forensic Court Service, located in the Forensic Mental Health Service.
Within the framework of the National Mental Health Policy and the National Standards for Mental Health Services 2010 and in a manner consistent with the stated Vision and Values of the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network, the Victim Register Coordinator is accountable to the Clinical Director and Service Manager of the Forensic Mental Health Service for the delivery of effective and high quality services to Victims and Next of Kin.
The Victim Register Coordinator will assist the Team Leader, Forensic Court Service to deliver a victim service to the States courts and agencies of the Criminal Justice System. The range of services will include an advisory and referral service for victims and next of kin of offenders, the maintenance of an electronic Victim / Next of Kin data base, information, counselling and support service to victims and next of kin. This position is office based at Modbury and mostly electronic and telephone based work.
