Description:
We are seeking a talented Video Editor to join our team and contribute to the post-production process of our upcoming TV Show. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to bring creative ideas to life through video editing.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience editing documentary films, series, or other long-form content.
- Proven storytelling ability: You must have a demonstrably strong track record of crafting engaging stories from raw footage. A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify the emotional core of a scene are essential.
- Technical Proficiency: Excellent understanding of pacing, structure, and visual storytelling techniques.
- Teamwork: Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Software Expertise: Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro editing software.
- Colour Correction (Optional): Experience with colour correction and grading is a significant advantage.
- Proficient Workflow Management: Experience in structuring efficient workflows for long-form editing projects, particularly when working with large media files stored on a Network Attached Storage (NAS) drive. This includes knowledge of media organization techniques, proxy editing workflows, and collaboration tools for seamless project management.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High-Speed Internet: A reliable high-speed internet connection is mandatory for efficient editing and collaboration via a NAS drive.
- NAS System: The successful candidate will be required to have their own personal NAS system to store synchronized footage for collaboration with the production team.
- Remote Workstation Setup: Candidates must possess a workstation equipped for professional video editing, including a powerful computer, multiple monitors, and appropriate editing software.

Responsibilities:
- Craft a compelling narrative: Assemble engaging episodes that capture the essence of MIRA’s work environment, challenges, and triumphs. Collaborate with producers, directors, and other team members to develop the show’s narrative arc and maintain a consistent visual style.
- Master of storytelling: Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines while maintaining the highest quality standards. Edit a variety of footage, including interviews, B-roll, construction processes, and time-lapse sequences, with a focus on weaving them into a captivating story.
- Beyond the cuts: Perform colour correction and grading on footage.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize both DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro editing software.
