HolidayPirates seeks a Mid-level Video Editor to join the Creative Studio team and support external and internal initiatives with outstanding quality, fun and inspiring videos. With a focus on Social Media and Motion Graphics, you’ll be conceptualizing, developing, shooting and editing videos for various purposes and audiences, besides contributing to the overall creative direction of the pirate ship.
Headquartered in Berlin, with a remote-first policy, the Creative Studio is part of the Brand & Communications team in HolidayPirates. If you believe you’re right for the job, please send us your CV, a cover letter and examples of your work.

YOUR TREASURE OF EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in multimedia, motion graphics, video or similar
  • 2+ years of experience working in an in-house marketing design department, design agency or equivalent
  • Expert knowledge of video editing on Premiere Pro (English version)
  • Motion graphic specialist in After Effects (English version)
  • Expertise in design and animation across digital and social media platforms (especially Instagram, TikTok and YouTube)
  • You have an eye and a keen interest in what works visually on social platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc. and follow the latest developments and trends
  • Knowledge of live broadcasts on Social Media platforms
  • Audio editing skills
  • Excellent organisational skills; able to prioritise a large workload
  • Must have excellent design, typography and layout skills and a keen eye for detail
  • You are a proactive self-starter: you love to try new concepts and share your learnings with the team
  • Being team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate creative ideas and collaborate with your peers
  • Experience working with MacOS
  • Fluent English skills, spoken and written

Responsibilities:

  • Edit and produce video clips from User Generated Content (UGC) and stock footage for social media posts and travel deals;
  • Leading the production process of our YouTube channel, from scripting till final deliveries, including the management of stakeholders;
  • Asset management: ensure that the company’s video library is up to date;
  • Create attractive motion graphic assets to enhance video performance;
  • Create 2D animations, GIFs, animated infographics and memes;
  • Collaborate with and assist colleagues in the Creative Studio, Marketing team and other stakeholders
  • Supporting the development of the brand identity and visual language and monitoring the consistent implementation of the brand.
  • Participate in studio-wide creative processes, such as feedback and brainstorms;
  • Working closely with the Brand & Communications and Social Media departments;
  • Keeping up with the latest trends and tools in storytelling and video production;
  • Direct and shoot videos for varied purposes (social media channels, interviews, events, institutional, etc.);
