Job Title: Kitchen Helper
Internal/External
Reports to: Kitchen Coordinator
Job Description:
The Kitchen Helper will get the opportunity to work with and learn from a seasoned Red Seal Chef, and
will assist by:
Receiving and rotating orders
Cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, and equipment
Sweeping and mopping
Doing dishes
Preparing and packaging food
Delivery of catering to off site locations
Recipe creation and standardizing
Semi annual deep clean
Occupational Competencies:
1. Required to follow food safety practices and Health and Safety Regulations.
2. Ability to follow directions and work independently.
3. Treat others with respect and dignity.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a kitchen as asset.
Other Requirements:
1. Be willing to be on-call to work evenings, weekends and holidays depending on kitchen
demands.
2. Complete and keep updated Criminal Record Checks.
3. Willingness to obtain Food Safe.
4. A valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record an asset.
Wage & Benefits: In accordance with the Community Connections Wage Grid Level 1 $21.73
Hours: Casual, on-call.
Location: Community Connections Outreach Centre, 416 2nd St West.
Closing: Date: Open until filled.
Start Date: As soon as possible.
