REQUIREMENTS

For your application to be considered, you must:

  • Experience in viticulture/horticulture/farming and agricultural machinery, with a genuine enthusiasm for wine and viticulture;
  • Knowledge regarding irrigation systems is advantageous;
  • Flexibility, sound communication skills, a willingness to learn and be part of a strong cohesive team;
  • The ability to work overtime subject to seasonal requirements;
  • A strong understanding of work health and safety procedures;
  • Must have tractor operations experience; and
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities:

Working from our Vineyard in Whitlands, we are looking for a Vineyard Supervisor to join our team. This opportunity will allow you to build & grow a career in a sophisticated, global brand and work outdoors in a friendly work environment.
As part of the team, you’ll develop your skills and have a hands-on role in the daily development and upkeep of the vineyards.

In this position you will:

  • Make a commitment to demonstrate safe work practices and habits;
  • Operate, and supervise the operation of, a range of modern vineyard machinery including tractors, sprayers, pruners, harvesters and undervine machinery;
  • Ensure regular and appropriate maintenance of vineyard plant and equipment;
  • Implement and execute an effective undervine weed management program;
  • Organise repairs to any equipment (sourcing quotes for significant purchases); and
  • Assist with the overall management and supervision of the vineyard team and contractors.
