Description:
VIRTUAL SECURITY SPECIALIST
We are looking for a candidate to join our MSSP Virtual Security Manager chapter as a Junior Security Analyst. This role would suit a technical person who has a real passion to develop skills and knowledge in the security arena (someone who is not afraid to take on a challenge!).
Relevant work experience is preferred but not essential as focus is on the right attitude and drive to excel. The ideal candidate needs to be a career-driven, smart, sharp, trustworthy and determined individual for this challenging but rewarding position.

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Create/Support Security Resilience report generation.
- Support Security Audit Missions (Internal/external).
- Support delivering the logistics to perform Risk Assessment over any project/product.
- Maintain Risk Registries/Exemption Lists.
- Lead Access Management.
- Support Vulnerability Management Cycle.
- Support compliance to relevant Security Standards (NZISM, ISO27001,….etc)
- Participate in Policies and Processes reviews.
- Participate in changes reviews.
- Respond to customer raised security requests.
- Working closely with and within customer teams and environments.
- Provide continuous improvement initiatives to the smooth running of the chapter
- Carrying out routine tasks to deliver service excellence to Spark and its clients
- Performs other duties as requested.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
- Be able to continually pass the security vetting process and holds a valid work visa.
- Highly motivated and eager to learn, with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Excellent team-working and time-management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (specialised in Information Security would be ideal) or relevant industry experience.
- Passionate about security and be able to demonstrate how you maintain an understanding of current security trends and topics.
