Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Visual Arts Teacher, you will guide students through an immersive exploration of visual arts practice, particularly in a 3D context, focusing on the properties of various food types using diverse materials and production techniques. This role centres on facilitating an understanding of visual synthesis and mixed media studies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver engaging lectures, workshops, and seminars to comprehensively cover the key learning objectives of the unit, fostering practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
  • Foster discussions, critiques, and collaborative activities to deepen students’ understanding and application of visual arts concepts.
  • Mentor students in developing analytical and technical skills through project-based learning, emphasising conceptual and material processes in 3D practices.
  • Support students in verbal, written, graphic, and 3-dimensional presentation skills, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in communication.
  • Educate students on occupational health and safety regulations relevant to visual arts practice, creating a safe and conducive learning environment.
