Description:

SICE is a leader in systems integration and has delivered many high profiled projects in the ANZ region. We have an opportunity for a Voice Communications to join our team based in Melbourne to work on a large scale state infrastructure project. This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate with entry level experience to up-skill and progress their career to the next step.

As a Voice Communications Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Maintain and update design of the Voice Communication System.
  • Technical and commercial requirements review and analysis.
  • Ensuring the design and related reports meet the quality standards.
  • Review of the scope of the design work according to the contract.
  • Review of vendor’s specifications, technical information, data sheets, quotes, etc.
  • System implementation, configuration, testing and commissioning.
  • Interfacing with other project teams and external information and documents.

REQUIREMENTS

The preferred candidate will bring the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in telecommunications, IT, electronic, electrical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of network communications protocols including SIP, TCP/IP.
  • Strong configuration and troubleshooting skills in IP PBX Platforms, Unify Openscape experience is highly desirable.
  • Previously experience in taking part in FAT, SAT and site commissioning activities is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Attention to detail.
  • Good organisation and planning skills.
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving ability. Ability to work collaboratively, as part of a team.
  • Ability to work autonomously
