ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is based at HammondCare Darlinghurst which is a 42 bed home providing exceptional care and support for older individuals with complex care needs who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness.
Since opening in 2020, the home has had a profound impact on the lives of many people. Through a combination of relationship-based care and permanent accommodation, HammondCare Darlinghurst has helped our clients to overcome challenges they face and improve their wellbeing.
We have an exciting opportunity for you to make a difference in the lives of our residents. The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for developing and leading a volunteer service whose key focus is to meet the interests of residents by matching them with a compassionate volunteer from their local community.
Duties include:
- Working with multidisciplinary teams to build a volunteer service that compliments the needs of HammondCare Residential service and clients
- Attracting, recruiting and onboarding volunteers, matching their interests with suitable opportunities
- Managing and mentoring volunteers, supporting them with both online and onsite face-to-face training as well as coordinating social volunteer events
- Maintaining accurate records in our volunteer database (Salesforce) and following established processes and guidelines for Volunteer Services
- Managing the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Schem
