Te āheinga The opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Volunteer Supervisor to join our Venues and Events team. This role is pivotal in providing event and operational support while serving as the initial and central point of contact for all volunteers. As a Volunteer Supervisor, you will ensure that our volunteers are well-supported, informed, and engaged in creating memorable events for the community.
Tino takohanga Key responsibilities
Act as the initial and central point of contact for volunteers into the organisation.
Complete onboarding processes to ensure all relevant volunteer details are captured.
Develop processes for onboarding, induction and training that creates and delivers strategy around recruitment, retention and recognition of volunteers.
Once onboarded provides all opportunities for volunteering across the organisation then handshakes to the relevant business unit or team where appropriate.
Work alongside Venues & Events team to roster volunteer requirements based on requirements.
Work alongside Venues & Events team to discuss challenges and opportunities.
Ensure all Health and Safety practices are followed across the team.
Any other duties as determined or required by the business.
Ngā tino pūkenga me ngā wheako Essential skills and experience
Tertiary qualification and/or experience in volunteer management, engagement and/or people management
Experience in venue operations would be an advantage.
Full Drivers licence
Knowledge of Excel & Word
