This job assumes responsibility for the strategic vision, long term planning, direction and overall accountability for system-wide IT infrastructure functions; communicates and interprets organizational and departmental mission goals and objectives for all areas of responsibility; and provides leadership and direction in the overall high availability operations of IT infrastructure. This job is responsible for ensuring the organization’s technology strategy, capabilities, processes and people are aligned with the IS Division’s long-term strategic priorities and current ability to execute with a high degree of effectiveness, high availability, reliability and efficiency across the organization. Ensures the effectiveness and stability of existing systems while providing thought and technical leadership on innovative concepts and technologies driven by customer needs, industry trends and organizational requirements. Works with all business units and ensures that the information technology infrastructure is fully operational; assumes responsibility for the structural management for the entire IT infrastructure which involves computers, peripheral devices, telecommunications, servers, wide area and local area voice and data networking, internet and all data centers. Responsible for researching and evaluating solutions to solve the organization’s technical challenges and working with other departments to budget and allocate funds for the organizations’ technical equipment.

EDUCATION

Required -Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
Preferred -Master’s degree in Healthcare, Business Administration or related field

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required -10 yearsexperience in successfully managing complex hospital and patient care delivery

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAS)

  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of advanced design and implementation and experience for enterprise computing.
  • Excellent interpersonal communications and management.
  • Excellent leadership and self-direction.
