Description:

OTC Markets Group Inc., operator of premier US financial markets for over 12,000 domestic and global companies, is seeking an VP, EMEA Business Development. This role will engage directly with business leaders and external stakeholders on product, business development, and relationship management.

OTC MARKETS OPERATES IN A HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT (THREE DAYS IN OFFICE, TWO DAYS REMOTELY). THIS POSITION WORKS OUT OF OUR UK OFFICE.

What you’ll do:

  • Generate a pipeline of prospects and manage through the sales process.
  • Demonstrate the ability to create and manage a large pipeline of sales from the initial cold call, through to closing.
  • Manage the overall EMEA OTCQX and OTCQB client relationship to maintain targeted revenue and profitability – establish a trusted and consultative relationship.
  • Host consultative discussion with senior management at publicly traded companies on Investor Relations strategy and corporate objectives for trading in the US Market on OTC Markets.
  • Deepen and broaden strategic relationships within the client at the “C” suite level, IR and key influencers.
  • Develop an intimate understanding of the client’s business, objectives and competitors to better consult and provide solutions
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for results.
  • Aptitude to become an expert in both the region and subject matter (stock exchanges, laws, rules for trading etc). Full training is provided but success will depend on the individual having a keen sense of curiosity and the ability to continue to research and learn in their own time.
  • This is a relationship management and sales role with thousands of prospects; time management and a strong commitment to sales process is essential. Candidate must have a strong sense of team ethic and enjoy working with others on ad-hoc projects to get a job done.
  • Work with potential issuers, advisors and stakeholders to educate on the value proposition we offer.
  • Develop create strategies for driving sales growth specific to the region assigned.
  • Additional duties, as assigned.

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years in a sales role with at least 5 years in Relationship Management
  • Experience of financial markets or cross-border Investor Relations is a highly preferred
  • Established / proven self-starter
  • Be a strong team player and able to share
  • Comfortable making high volume of telephone-based pitches
  • Prior use of Salesforce
  • Strong knowledge of and a demonstrated ability to perform lead generation through target account selling, outbound cold calling, and calling on marketing-generated leads
  • Ability to travel, as needed
