As we continue our transformation and growth journey in the region, we are now looking to appoint a Vice President Engineering, Asia Pac to join the senior leadership team in Australia.
This is a new position which will oversee a regional network of more than 50 temperature-controlled storage and distribution facilities across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
The primary focus of the role will be around building and executing effective engineering, property optimisation and construction strategies to support Lineage’s growth aspirations in the region.
More specifically, the role will work closely with the Lineage Leadership team to ensure critical infrastructure investment & availability across all facilities, continuously improve the cost effectiveness and space utilisation of the asset portfolio & develop and lead capital improvement projects to maximise top-line performance.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE SHOULD IDEALLY INCLUDE:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or similar.
  • Extensive experience in a similar role at a regional level, preferably within a high-risk, safety process focused industry such as chemicals/petrochemicals, explosives etc.
  • A proven track-record on leading diverse teams and strategies in the engineering maintenance and reliability space across multiple geographies and jurisdictions, ideally within a global business.
  • Impressive strategic planning credential and commercial acumen applied to facilities/property planning and development, asset management and property investment/capital works.
  • An excellent understanding of supply chain and logistics operating models.
  • Sound consulting skills with the ability to work at both the strategic and tactical level.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive asset strategies across engineering, property and construction aligned to regional consolidation and growth objectives.
  • Overseeing the management of existing property & asset network in the region, ensuring engineering maintenance to the highest standard and in compliance with all country regulations. This will include managing lease portfolio and negotiating terms with landlords or tenants.
  • Managing frameworks & programs which underpin asset integrity, safety processes and reliable operations.
  • Identifying opportunities for property expansion, renovation or acquisition to optimise asset value and portfolio growth.
  • Conceptualising and implementing value-add strategies including asset repositioning, consolidation and refinancing.
  • Establishing a security of critical infrastructures framework to be regularly monitored and maintained in line with compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Managing due diligence processes for M&A activities involving real estate assets.
  • Coordinating analytical support work and return analyses for engineering, property and construction portfolio, reporting results regionally and globally.
  • Developing and leading capital improvement project that provide attractive returns on investment, including managing a substantial annual capex budget underpinning reliable and safe operations.
  • Ensuring safety and environmental standards are adhered to in all construction projects.
