Description:

Vice President External Sales is responsible for developing a territory by proactively acquiring and maintaining advisor relationships within select broker/dealers (b/d) and Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) by promoting Inlands Products. A successful Hybrid Wholesaler must understand Alternative Products, the broker/dealer marketplace, RIAs, effectively communicate Inlands Investment Philosophy, and develop and maintain new advisor relationships to drive new business within specific RIA’s/ broker/dealers. The Hybrid Wholesaler will build the territory through phone and web conference meetings, regional and national meetings, and spend some time conducting advisor meetings in the territory.

EXPERIENCE:

  • This position requires at least 2 years of prior professional experience in financial services, with prior wholesaling experience or brokerage sales.

SKILLS:

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook are required for this position.
  • Keyboarding skills are required for this position, at least 35 WPM.
  • Proven track record of sales success.
  • Experience and ability to conduct phone and web presentations effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective consultative sales and relationship management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to conduct effective individual and group meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates highest standards of personal and professional integrity, adheres to company’s policies and procedures, and complies with applicable laws, government rules and regulations.
  • Responsible for proactively gathering new assets under management. Will be responsible for all phases of the sales process, including outbound prospecting and sales calls, correspondence through email, and conducting web meetings on office days, and periodic travel in the territory to hold individual and group meetings, and conference
  • Will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with advisors, educating advisors on Inlands Products and promoting relevant strategies for utilizing them.
  • Provide continual feedback to the Sales Management and National Accounts teams on sales pipeline and trends. Maintain all activity in our Customer Relations Management (CRM) system.
  • Will participate in all team conference calls and meetings.
  • Responsible for developing and executing tactical business plans for the territory, within the parameters of the overall channel business plan.
  • 25% day and / or overnight travel is required for this position
