We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a VP Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager, Insurance.
Principal Responsibilities

The role covers a wide variety of work ranging from but not limited to financial planning & forecasting to support of key internal strategic projects, monitoring of investment initiatives, product & customer level analytics, and IFRS 17 implementation.

  • Under the new IFRS17 accounting standard, this role is responsible for Insurance Management Information production, including instruction communication, performance analysis and commentaries, forecasting and annual planning, with accurate and timely delivery to support key business decision-making forums
  • Provide high-quality insight and analysis over results, including benchmarked in the context of peers’ performance
  • Business partnering with the business teams to challenge and enhance commercial insight by blending business knowledge with interpretation of financial performance
  • Also working closely with the local Financial Control & Reporting, actuarial and business teams. Strong engagement is also required with Bank and the Global and regional teams
  • Drive MI process enhancement including strengthening MI and cost control process
  • Enhance the cost management framework (network expense study, IFRS17 cost deferral and pushdown, cost allocation by Line Of Business (Life, General Insurance, Health)
  • Support ad hoc requests, IFRS17 and other MI projects

Requirements

  • Finance discipline and IFRS17 accounting knowledge is required, with a number of years of work experience in the Life Insurance industry
  • Strong numeracy background with an ability to take on new financial/technical concepts
  • Proven ability to deliver high quality analysis and commentaries
  • Strong communication skills (English written and oral) and can work collaboratively with others, including with international and virtual teams
  • Track record of proactiveness, ability to learn fast, manage changes and deliver results within the tight deadlines
  • Strong proficiency at Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), including ability to deliver impactful written reports and presentations
