QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, economics, finance, business, or other quantitative fields or in lieu of degree a high school diploma and 9+ years of work in marketing, customer experience, or compliance and surveillance programs in credit card and/or financial service areas.
  • A minimum of 7+ years of analytics experience and include:
  • 5 years of experience supporting consumer experience and/or marketing
  • 5 years of project management
  • 5 years of experience utilizing database/analytics tools (SQL, SAS, Python), digital analytics tool (Adobe, Google Analytics), advanced spreadsheet and presentation tool.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The VP, Growth Governance Analytics role is responsible for analytical support for the Growth Governance & Excellence initiatives. This role will act as a critical member of the team through leading data analytics to support the Growth Surveillance team in testing activities, providing insights and recommendations, partnering closely with the Surveillance team and key business stakeholders to develop a data analytics and innovation strategy to identify process enhancements and efficiencies. This role is a working manager role with individual contribution while collaborating with matrixed teammates, and project management responsibilities. By partnering with Analytics and other cross-functional stakeholders, this role will support on-going Growth Surveillance initiatives, as well as ideation, design and launch of new analytic solutions to optimize Growth Surveillance processes and drive efficiencies.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with process owners across Growth to understand processes, perform analysis to identify gaps and opportunities, and propose solutions.
  • Lead and manage process to create data reporting packages for Process Surveillance that will be used to execute testing.
  • Develop full population exception reporting that will identify defects in a process and partner with testing team to research defects and identify root cause.
  • Conduct independent code reviews and validations on reports being used by process owners to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Develop methodology to pull data that supports Advertising Surveillance program requirements.
  • Collaborate with other Surveillance SMEs to drive best practice sharing and economy of scale.
  • Support other ad hoc initiatives as needed.
