We are currently partnering with a global provider of comprehensive life insurance, health insurance, and investment-linked protection solutions, who are looking to hire a Head of Strategic Planning & Forecasting to have oversight of all Distribution Channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Decision Making & Financial Planning: Reporting to the Head of Planning & Analysis, you will lead a team of analysts to develop forecasts, conduct variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to support key business initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with overall business goals, driving sustainable growth.
- Distribution Oversight: Oversee compensation for distributors (including agency, IFA, Bancassurance) and assess campaign efficiency to ensure plan achievement.
- Sales & Revenue Planning: Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive sales and revenue plans, including annual channel budgets, long-term forecasts, and strategic plans. Work closely with senior management to ensure these plans align with the company’s objectives.
- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze large data sets to identify trends, patterns, and optimization opportunities, translating findings into actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify inefficiencies in business processes and develop streamlined solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including department heads, executives, and bank partners, to understand their needs and deliver value-added solutions.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project and initiative execution.
To be eligible for this role you will require:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience in business and performance analysis (10+ years), with experience in a leadership role.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the Life Insurance Industry and understanding of IFRS17 is a plus, whilst knowledge of Distribution channels (i.e. Agency, IFA, Bancassurance) is essential
- Analytical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Effective Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences effectively.
- Strategic Thinking: A strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving results and implementing innovative solutions.
