Responsibilities:
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
This L3 role has responsibility across the Uniper group for setting the strategic direction of health and safety and steering effective support to ensure this is delivered in all Functions.
It is responsible for the delivery of health and safety governance arrangements and provision of expert support to Uniper leaders. The role has a particular focus on legal compliance in all countries and will take a leading role in co-ordinating the investigation of any serious accidents.
The role is highly strategic, requiring effective stakeholder management at the highest levels across the whole Uniper organisation, including the interface to the Workers Council on health and safety topics.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To lead the development and delivery of health and safety strategies, solutions and support from the central HSSE team
- To steer the interaction of Uniper with external regulatory authorities in the areas of Health and Safety across all regions
- To take a leading role in co-ordinating the inverstigation of serious accidents / incidents, including interfacing with Process Safety and other experts as required
- To lead the Health and Safety expert teams within HSSE Strategy & Solutions
- To lead the development of health and safety standards, target setting, improvement actions and KPIs across the Uniper Group, by identifying key risk areas and forming action plans
- To set standards in accordance with regulatory requirements and the needs of internal customers, to monitor compliance with standards and investigate non-conformances to define areas for improvement
- To fulfil a senior leadership role in Uniper enabling the company and its leaders to fulfil all legal responsabilites relating to health and safety
