Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
As the Vice President of Media Relations, you will spearhead our global media relations strategy. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive media relations plans, issue management, and serving as a spokesperson on and off the record. This role demands a strategic thinker with a proactive approach to storytelling and relationship building with the media. Reporting into the Global Head of Communications.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Develop and implement a comprehensive media relations strategy that aligns with Live Nation Entertainment’s business objectives and brand goals.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the media relations team (including agency support) to ensure strategic goals are met.
- Serve as a key spokesperson, handling media inquiries, briefings and education.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers across traditional and digital platforms.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, social media, and event promotion teams, to ensure cohesive messaging and maximize publicity opportunities.
- Oversee the creation of press materials, including press releases, media kits, executive briefing documents, and content for digital media.
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Manage sensitive inquiries, developing and implementing response strategies.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of media relations campaigns, using data to inform future strategies.
