Description:

Well respected contractor serving commercial and industrial customers in North Carolina is seeking a proven VP of Business Development in the HVAC or related fields. They are positioning for significant growth, and the selected candidate will help lead the company through the next chapter. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to join an executive team in a high growth market with the backing of a national platform. Selected candidate will report to an office in Greensboro.
Compensation commensurate with experience, in the range of $225K salary plus performance-based bonus plan.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, or business related fields of study desired. A minimum of 10 years of Sales Management in Commercial/Industrial HVAC, plumbing, electrical, network cabling, security, access control, or building automation industries required.
  • Verifiable success in developing and leading successful sales teams that consistently meet or exceed sales and profitability goals.
  • Strong relationship management skills.

  • Ability to work with recent technological applications relating to daily tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire and develop sales team to continue growth of established contractor providing customers a multi-service solution to address needs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, network cabling, security, access control, and building automation.
  • Develop rewarding, performance-based commission plan.
  • Identifies and evaluates new markets, partners, channels, and customers.
  • Researches and analyzes the business environment, competitors, and customers to develop ideas for new products and services, pricing, and business models.
  • Directs financial feasibility studies, proposal development, and negotiations for new business opportunities.
  • Collaborates with all stakeholders to support business development plans fostering growth while providing first in class customer service.
