VP, Organizational Capabilities

JOB SUMMARY

Equinix is looking for a Vice President of Organizational Capabilities to join our Global Organizational and Talent team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and implementing strategies for organizational design, organizational development, change management, communications, succession planning, talent development, coaching, and consulting. The role requires someone who can make informed decisions, convince others, and teach others. The individual will have to partner closely with HR teams and demonstrate strong leadership qualities with the business and in the HR community.
The Vice President of Organizational Capabilities will work closely with leaders and managers to implement strategies for effective leadership, team building, and conflict resolution. They will assess organizational culture and facilitate change management. They will design interventions to enhance communication, teamwork, and overall organizational performance. They will provide coaching and guidance to individuals in leadership positions.
The Vice President of Organizational Capabilities will partner with HR teams to ensure that the organization has the right people, processes, and systems in place to achieve its goals. QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong background and detailed experience in Organizational Design, Organizational Development, Change Management, Communications, Succession Planning, Talent Development, Coaching, and Consulting
  • Strong experience and highly effective leader that can manage, coach, develop and create a trusting and psychologically safe environment for their immediate team and broader partners
  • Experience developing and implementing global strategies in areas such as organizational design and development, change management, and talent management
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of the latest best practices in Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, and related fields
  • The ideal candidate will have a PhD/MSC in Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field

  • They will have strong analytical and research skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • In a complex and dynamic environment, the Vice President of Organizational Capability will need to be able to work under time pressure to drive change. They will need to be able to make informed decisions quickly and effectively, and to communicate those decisions to others in a clear and concise manner
  • They will need to be able to work collaboratively with other teams and departments to ensure that their recommendations are aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives. They will need to be able to adapt to changing circumstances and to be flexible in their approach to problem-solving
  • To succeed in this role, the Vice President of Organizational Capability will need to have strong people judgment and be able to make tough decisions. They will need to be able to convince others and teach others. They will need to be able to work under pressure and to be able to manage their time effectively
  • They will need to be able to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and to be able to communicate effectively with them
