Description:
Massey Henry is pleased to support Peoples Group in the recruitment for a VP, Payment Operations (“VP"). Peoples Group provides its clients with a tailored suite of financial solutions and is the leading issuer of prepaid payment cards in Canada.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Process Improvement
- Proactively identify, analyze, and optimize existing business processes within the payment solutions and card services function, streamlining and automating operations as needed.
- Ensure quality assurance of the payments business, driving efficiency while developing and maintaining effective protocols and quality control practices.
- Implement relevant best practice frameworks.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- 15+ years of experience in a financial services organization, with deep expertise and understanding of the payments ecosystem.
- Proven track record of leading operations in a collaborative environment.
- Possesses a nuanced understanding of payment technologies, systems, and industry trends.
- Demonstrated experience in optimizing teams to increase efficiency, support business growth, and drive a culture of engagement and continuous improvement.
- A collaborative leader who has led and managed cross-functional teams and has a proven track record of providing strong mentorship and direction across functions.
- Experience in developing and executing on digital enablement and quality assurance processes related to the payments and card functions.
- Demonstrated ability to bring strategic insight and to continually identify and implement plans for process improvement.
- Brings a risk management mindset and has spent time working in a risk, audit, and/or control role.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, highly skilled in presentations and interactions with executives.
- Undergraduate or post-graduate degree in a related field.
