Our client, a global fintech firm is looking for a VP – Regulatory Compliance. This role is based in Singapore and is crucial for maintaining the integrity and compliance for the organization’s operations.
Responsibilities:
- Act as one of the primary contact points for regulatory bodies, fostering positive relationships with regulators.
- Provide regulatory compliance advisory to business and function stakeholders in relation to the Banking Act and its applicable regulations.
- Manage compliance risks and uphold compliance with Singapore regulations for the Bank by ensuring adherence to Compliance policies and procedures, amongst others.
- Monitor and new regulatory requirements to relevant stakeholders and senior management, and help implement it within the organization.
- Assist in addressing queries from the regulators, auditors and authorities, ensure timely submission of queries from concerned parties.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy, Banking, Finance, Business or Law, or relevant professional qualification in financial services.
- At least 7 years of experience in regulatory, compliance or advisory roles in a financial institution, preferably at banks or fintech firms.
- Prior experience working in a regulatory environment/ with a regulator is an advantage.
- Experience in dealing with audits and/or regulatory examinations.
- Sound understanding of the regulatory landscape and relevant laws and regulations (Banking Act MAS 626 etc.).
- Highly motivated, meticulous, proactive and versatile team player, possessing strong communication skills with proven ability to work independently and under pressure.
