Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As Vice President Strategy you will provide leadership to the strategy team and initiatives within the VFS strategy function. In addition, you will provide leadership to services strategy development for service domains that require alignment across Group Trucks.

Your starting point will be to, together with your colleagues at VFS and in the broad cross-functional network at the Volvo Group, take responsibilities in the following areas:

  • Further develop the VFS corporate strategy working with the VFS executive management team.
  • Lead cross-business strategy development for all VFS service domains including market assessments, decision paths and recommendations.
  • Lead strategy development for new services offered by VFS.
  • Lead and pace service strategy development for domains that require alignment across Group Trucks with the strategy teams from Volvo Group, Business Areas, and Group Functions.
  • Present strategy analysis and recommendations to the senior leadership of VFS and the Services Board.
  • Lead strategic initiatives for VFS working closely with Volvo Group, Business Area, and Group Function strategy teams.
  • Lead the acquisition of business intelligence by leveraging Volvo Group market intelligence resources as well as 3rd party research when needed.
  • Support VFS global markets in the adoption and implementation of the VFS corporate strategy.
  • Manage strategy team members and attract new talent.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications likely required to be successful in this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of strategy functional experience.
  • Exceptional grammar, business writing presentation preparation skills including the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with preparing and presenting recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced professional environment where sound business judgment and a flexible and adaptable approach are valued.
  • Excellence in reading, writing, and speaking English; additional languages a plus.
  • Expert level experience working with Microsoft Office.
  • Business mindset
