Vulnerability Analyst

Our client is a Federal Government Agency who seeks a Vulnerability Analyst with significant experience as either a technical cyber security analyst, penetration tester or SOC analyst.

The ideal candidate will have a background in either using, or performing analysis on software vulnerabilities with the following knowledge:

• The technical mechanisms of different software vulnerabilities
• Different classes of vulnerabilities including – RCE, LPE; and vulnerability mechanisms including – Deserialisation, path traversal, authentication bypass.
• General technical cyber security skills including skills from either an offensive or defensive perspective.

Successful Candidates will have the following experience:

Essential

• Using and/or analysing software vulnerabilities (particularly remote vulnerabilities).
• Building software (scripts etc) to detect and verify software vulnerabilities.
• Vulnerability management/vulnerability triage.
• Analysing and searching open source reporting for timely vulnerability information.
• General technical cyber security skills.
• Understanding of ICS/OT devices and potential vulnerabilities.

Job Details:

• Location: Canberra. However remote candidates may be considered.
• You must be an Australian Citizen & hold an AGSVA Security Clearance
• 12 month contract starting 1 July 2024 with extensions
