Waiter for Michelin Star Restaurant

at  Glovers Alley

We have an excellent opportunity for a Waiter in Glovers Alley Andy McFadden, a high-end restaurant on St Stephen’s Green, Dublin.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Previous experience in fine dining is required.
• We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an interest in a fine dining restaurant

MAIN PURPOSE:

To run a section of the dining room while maintaining the core values of Glovers Alley: Energy, Passion, Focus, Drive.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct and control the service in a designated section and ensure that customers receive the highest standards of care.
• An in-depth knowledge of all the dishes is mandatory, with a brief description given to each guest.
• To read situations and evaluate guests’ needs to aid a ‘proactive’ instead of a ‘reactive’ level of service.
• To assist and liaise with the management team in any tasks that may be required, in particular, communicating with Sommeliers to ensure a smooth sequence of service.
• To work as a team during setup and clear down of the restaurant.
• Direct commis waiters when running food and control the serving of dishes to each table.
