Description:
The Wallenberg-NTU Postdoctoral Fellowship is to bring outstanding young researchers, who have graduated from a Swedish university, to NTU for two years of postdoctoral research and studies. The Postdoctoral Fellows are given the opportunity to participate in a broad range of interdisciplinary activities and programs that characterize NTU’s approach to research and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and carry out research on water management in Singapore and Sweden
- Data collection in archives in Singapore and Sweden
- Conduction of interviews with actors in Singapore and Sweden
- Prepare research articles of high quality on topics related to water, energy and the environment
- Engage with research communities in Singapore, Asia, Sweden, and around the world
Job Requirements:
- PhD degree related to related to history, history of technology or environmental history from a Swedish university not more than 4 years at the application date
- Experience of addressing questions in the field of water supply, water scarcity, the water-energy-nexus
- Proficiency in qualitative methods, such as archival document analysis
- Excellent English communication and writing skills that is essential to conduct research
- Good Swedish communication and writing skills so as to conduct research with Swedish
- Demonstrated ability to present at conferences and to publish research results in international scientific journals
- Demonstrated interest in historical water research and the water-energy-nexus
