Norwegian is growing and is now seeking a new person for an important role in our procurement team in Fornebu. The team currently consists of around 18 people divided into various product and service categories.

Responsibilities:

SOME INSIGHT INTO THE ROLE:

As the responsible person for the “Airports and Operations” category, you will have the main responsibility for purchasing services performed at all our destinations. This includes all ground-related activities, such as personnel and baggage handling. You will play a key role in shaping and implementing procurement strategies, as well as leading tender processes and negotiations. A large part of the job will also involve building strong relationships with our providers and suppliers.
The position does not require a background in the aviation industry but may be well-suited for those with experience in procurement from retail, service industries, facility services, or similar areas. The tasks will be closely related to our goal of cost reduction through strategic and tactical work with procurement and partnership agreements. In everyday work, you will be in close contact with a diverse range of stakeholders, nationalities, and cultures, both internally and externally at various levels. The workday will consist of many ongoing projects and tasks, requiring good workflow and collaboration across the organization.

THE ROLE WILL INVOLVE:

Coordination with our entire delivery and procurement team on cross-related tasks
Close collaboration with the internal finance department to monitor purchases and costs, as well as contribute figures for budgeting and forecasts
Identifying and initiating collaborations with potential suppliers for selected destinations, services, and products
Initiating and conducting tender processes
Negotiating and finalizing complex purchases
Ongoing supplier contact and development

TO THRIVE IN THE ROLE, WE BELIEVE YOU HAVE:

Strong analytical and numerical abilities
Good communication skills, both orally and in writing, especially in English
Experience in leading large and small projects and procurement processes
Flexibility regarding travel for negotiations and supplier contact
