POSITION SUMMARY
The Emergency Department is currently seeking a Permanent Part-time Ward Clerk to join their team.

DEPARTMENT/UNIT/PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
RMH is a medium sized hospital that provides 24 hour care to Emergency Room patients. The Emergency department embraces the Hospital’s vision by providing staff with an excellent, supportive, team environment where the clinical team can practice in a multi-disciplinary team, providing Exceptional Care – Together.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of Medical Ward Clerk course or Medical Office Assistant Certificate
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Data Entry
- Minimum of 1 year clerical support experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and courteously with all levels of hospital staff, patients and public
- Excellent professional telephone manner skills
- Demonstrated organizational, communication and time management skills
- Must meet expectations for appropriate, respectful and professional conduct, as set out in the RMH Code of Conduct
- Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the job, as per current Physical Demands Analysis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a hospital environment, an asset
- Trained in EPIC - training can be provided, but must pass required testing
