Description:
Job PurposeThe post holder will act as a point of contact for all administrative issues relating to patients pathway of care for the clinical team The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will provide support to the (IPE) and Ward manager.The post holder will ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer focussed and knowledgeable point of contact.Main Duties and Responsibilitiesprepare for patient admissions, introduce patient to ward/ clinics , support clinics, reception duties, patient record management, ordering of stock .Schedule appointments with the most appropriate clinician.Ensure all medical notes, referral letters, results and discharge summaries are available for outpatient appointments and consultations.Ensure Trust systems are updated with patient pathway status information and that data quality is maintained.Ensure that Trust agreed standard of service is delivered to patientsEnsure details of patients to be admitted are entered onto systems, recording accurate information.Book pre-operative assessment appointments with the agreed timescales.Ensure that appropriate tests and investigations are arranged and completed, with results available before surgery (e.g. COVID, MRSA, Bloods, Urine, Scans or results on Trust system such as ICE).In line with departmental protocols, communicate basic clinical information to patients relating to their procedures and treatments, ensuring appropriate distribution of patient information.Use Trust IT systems and speciality databases to ensure relevant and accurate information is recorded.Undertake general typing duties e.g. references and medical reports.Ensure that all of the relevant documents are uploaded on NoteOn.Provide cross cover within private car
