Description:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Children’s Assessment Unit at Staffordshire Children’s Hospital at Royal Stoke.
The post holder will provide administration/receptionist support to the unit. The post holder will work closely with the nursing teams to provide a reliable clerical service. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, confident person who can demonstrate excellent communication skills. They must have good organisational skills and an ability to work on his/her own initiative and be a good team player.
The post holder will be responsible for daily up keep of the Patient Administration System. The post holder will provide administration services to the medical and nursing staff on the ward as well as providing reception cover.
The post holder will be expected to work on his or her own initiative in accordance with management requirements and will be responsible for the standard of their own work. The nature of the work requires someone who is aware of patient confidentially, trustworthy and with the ability to deal professionally and effectively with all staff and the public.
We are a very busy Directorate and the post involves handling a significant number of patients case note folders. All aspects of the work must be carried out in accordance with Trust Policies and Procedures in respect of maintaining patient confidentiality and Health & Safety.
