Description:

We are looking to recruit a Ward Secretary to support the wards at Rampton Hospital.
You will support the Ward Managers and senior nursing team under the direction of the Hospital Admin Managers.
The person we have in mind for this position must demonstrate an ability to provide a high quality and comprehensive administrative/secretarial service. They must be creative, capable of meeting tight deadlines and have the ability to use their own initiative. The post holder will have a good general education (3 x GCSE’s 9-4 or A-C or equivalent (including English Language) along with RSA II typewriting (or equivalent experience) and also knowledge of modern IT packages i.e. Microsoft Office applications (eg; Word, Excel & Outlook). An excellent telephone manner is required with the ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality at all time.
An Enhanced DBS clearance will be required for this post.
To work as part of a team providing secretarial and administrative support for the Ward Manager.
Responsible for all aspects of secretarial and administrative support for the Ward Manager
Under the direction of the Ward Manager working closely with ward staff to assist in the provision of efficient high quality ward services.

Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.
Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change.
