Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining incoming and outgoing shipments, and organizing warehouse space efficiently, and assisting other departments within the warehouse where necessary to help with daily operations. This role involves meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of various components and functions of material handling equipment and material
  • Ability to consistently maintain organization in a fluid enviornment
  • Ability to safely and efficiently operate forklifts of various makes and models
  • Ability to perform job duties while using various forms of Personal Protective Equipment such as steel toe shoes, hard hat, safety shield, etc…
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical computations with speed and accuracy
  • Ability to adhere to company procedures and rules
  • Valid Drivers License with a clean record
  • Drug Test and Background Check

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regularly perform work in an environment with some exposure to noise, varying temperatures, smoke, etc…
  • Regularly stand and/or walk for extended periods of time, up to a full 8-hour shift
  • Regularly get in and out of a Forklift Vehicle
  • Frequently use two hands to lift to 50 lbs as well as manipulate product and equipment which may require reaching above shoulders or kneeling to work at ground level etc…
  • Occasionally climb ladders to get items off high shelves or other locations

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or a related field
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team
  • High Level of Self-Motivation
  • Have a “teachable” mindset
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, stand, bend, and move for extended periods.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to safely and efficiently operate forklifts of various makes and models
  • Loading and unloading of trucks and trailers both manually and with equipment or lifts
  • Pulling material from inventory and palletizing and/or “banding” material to meet customer orders and applicable transportation restrictions
  • Managing on hand inventory with a multitude of components
  • Routine Building Maintenance (Examples: Light bulbs, remove bugs from lights, doorway treads, shop and building cleanliness)
  • Maintain cleanliness and report any needed repairs of company vehicles and/or equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Maintain open lines of communication with Sales and Managment on Customer issues
  • Observes and promotes safe work practices and procedures
  • Receive and stow inbound material
  • Pick and stage outbound material
  • Assist with quarantine area for grading, re-bundling material, smart part number assignment, and other requirements as needed
  • Assist with needs of other departments and duties to help move company projects and objectives forward
