Our client in Muskoka Region, ON is actively looking for a Warehouse Associate to join their team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Huntsville Warehouse Associate is a full-time permanent position that reports directly to the assistant store manager and reports dotted-line to the sales manager. This position is tasked with warehouse-related duties and customer service duties including, but not limited to, customer pick-ups, display inventory transfers, general upkeep, cleanliness of the Huntsville facility, as well as opening and closing the showroom and customer service/front desk related tasks.
Daily Duties
- Empty garbage and recycling containers throughout the building.
- Dry mop tiled section of showroom with concentration on high-traffic areas (i.e. entrance and front desk);
- Clean glass entrance doors and vestibule.
- Remove sold-not-delivered merchandise (picks) from the showroom in preparation for loading into delivery vehicle.
- Use RFID scanner when moving any product.
- Ensure parking area and loading area is clear of debris, garbage, and snow. Maintain exterior appearance in parking lot and around the building.
- Sweep and tidy warehouse section of the facility, ensuring that it is organized and accessible at all times. Ensure that all items sent for display are un-packaged and placed on the showroom.
- Maintain close watch for any damaged furniture and report to the assistant store manager for repair.
- Assist with customer pick-ups.
- Provide front-desk related support in the absence of a Manager. Answering phones, assisting customers and providing customer service with a smile, contributing to an excellent shopping experience.
- Handling cash, paperwork and running reports with great attention to detail in the absence of a Manager.
Weekly Duties
- Assist with showroom displays transfers as necessary.
- Wet mop electronics area (black tile).
- Remove, mop, and replace designated appliance and electronics area.
- Build ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture as needed.
- Provide promotional change-over support to the sales team as needed, such as: banners, balloons, garland, and price tags.
- Cycle count a designated area of the showroom, correcting discrepancies.
Monthly Duties
- Remove, vacuum, and replace one carpeted section of the showroom.
- Deep clean front foyer including all glass, wet mop tiles (including beneath furniture), and removing cob-webs.
- Tidy and sweep all storage and utility rooms. Ensure contents are safely, neatly, and properly stored.
- Other duties as assigned.
