SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Associate has a key role in ensuring that products are received, verified, stored, and transported to the sales floor or in the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner. Associates are also responsible for keeping the warehouse neat, tidy, and well maintained. This position includes a lot of lifting and carrying.

Responsibilities:
CONTRACT POSITION - Late June to Late September
We are in the middle of a major expansion project and are seeking warehouse clerks to help relocate products in both our existing warehouse and newly expanded warehouse.
- This position will involve moving pallets of stock and fixtures, organizing items in the warehouse, relocating all existing warehouse sections to their new locations, maintaining a clean work environment at all times, collecting and delivering required fixtures to the merchandising teams on the retail floor, general clean-up and tidying.
- Maintaining housekeeping disciplines in the warehouse in order to facilitate location of products by all staff.
- Responding to and handling customer and staff inquiries, requests, and concerns in a timely manner.
- You must have a strong attention to detail, the ability to work both independently and within a small team, and must work well with tight deadlines.
- Prepares merchandise for filing, sorts and fills merchandise carts for the retail floor.
- Is responsible for garbage disposal, cardboard recycling, and the disposal of broken products in accordance with store policy.
- Repairs broken packages as needed.
- Operates computer and scanning tools, and enters all relevant coding in Canadian Tire systems.
- Is responsible for the safe operation of all warehouse equipment
- Forklift or Skyjack experience is an asset but not a requirement
- This is a contract position beginning late June and ending late September, the option to extend into a permanent full-time position is possible if both parties are agreeable.
- Handles dangerous goods and hazardous products according to established procedures.
