ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Canadawide Sports is currently seeking a strong, reliable and organized individual to play a key team role as Warehouse Coordinator. We are looking for an individual to execute seamless, accurate delivery of customer orders and to respond to the fast-paced logistical demands of our growing business. You should be adept at optimizing time and resources spent to meet deadlines, and able to work in accordance with established processes and tools (Standard Operating Procedures, ERP/NetSuite system). This position will report to the Warehouse Manager and our ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, hands-on, and willing to work alongside the team to achieve goals.
This role is based in St. George, ON, Canada.
Straight days, Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment.
  • Valid Forklift/Reach truck Operator Certification.
  • Ability to delegate and coordinate warehouse functions.
  • Works well independently and has strong problem solving, time management, and organization skills.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and efficiency in the execution of standard warehousing processes such as picking, packing, shipping, auditing and loading customer orders and products.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage projects and day-to-day operations with a sense of urgency and without compromising quality.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Be adept at using the Microsoft suite of tools, especially Excel, and use data to develop metrics, perform Root Cause Analysis and make Corrective Actions as appropriate.
  • Perform a variety of physically demanding duties according to standard work instructions, such as manually loading and unloading goods from a trailer
  • Capable of heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of repetitive work including bending, twisting and reaching, following safety procedures

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct Pre-Shift meetings with warehouse team members.
  • Meet with Warehouse Manager regularly to review daily, weekly and monthly priorities.
  • Assign and prioritize duties to team members for daily order fulfillment and warehouse maintenance to meet customer requirements.
  • Verify all shipments have been staged, booked and labelled. This would include; Pick and pack orders as required; Audit of paperwork to ensure accuracy; Visual scan of individual items to match pick list.
  • Arrange appropriate transportation and documentation of shipments with third party transport and bookings into customer portals to communicate ASN and pickup dates.
  • Review daily the open and closed sales orders to ensure on-time delivery and maintain KPI tracking.
  • Ensure internal picking, packing, and shipping processes are consistent.
  • Verify and document the quantity and condition of goods shipped.
  • Ensure orders are packaged and booked in adherence to specific customer requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Works closely with the customer service team to resolve issues.
  • Training of new warehouse team staff on processes and procedures.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse, including proper housekeeping and cleaning, maintaining tools and equipment, and assuring warehouse operates in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements.
