JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to provide service and support to the warehouse by handling shipping and receiving tasks.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree) equivalent required.
Previous related work experience in warehouse, shipping and receiving.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
Fluent in French

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Loads/unloads merchandise or material from cars or trucks. Packs and unpacks shipments, processing, scanning and shelving of parts, pulling orders, and data entry info computerized inventory control systems.
Processes and verifies inventory movement transactions, maintains overall accuracy of inventory levels.
Plans layout, maintenance and up keep of stockroom and other storage areas and consolidates existing stock to maximize space utilization.
Operates all lift equipment in a safe manner to ensure personal protection and to ensure the protection of other personnel and company property.
Maintains housekeeping in and around the back stock storage areas.
Uses scanner & computer to enter data and maintain inventory.
May perform other duties as assigned or requested by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate tasks with coworkers within a work unit and/or project.
