Job Title: Warehouse/ Driver Operator
Department: Transport & Warehouse
Location: Auckland, NZ

The Warehouse/ Driver Operator will ensure efficient and effective collection and delivery of materials to and from customer sites, airlines & airports and other establishments as required in accordance with organizational policy and procedure. To maintain awareness of regulatory reforms to key areas (CAA RACA, MPI, NZ Customs )

KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Work pro-actively using own initiative.
  • Proven communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Previous experience dealing with varied customer base and building strong relationships.
  • Ability to consider several possible options and decide on most appropriate method
  • Strong commercial awareness, understands impact of actions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Computer knowledge, MS office
  • Airside Driving Permit preferred.
  • Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR Class 1 to 9)
  • Forklift Licence
  • Class 1 Licence

Responsibilities:

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Airside Collections/Deliveries
  • Import & Export Collection/Deliveries
  • Assist with unloading/loading of import/export containers
  • Prepare and submit relevant administration in a timely and accurate manner, e.g. cycle count/stock checks
  • Complete all warehouse picks and put aways in the required KPI timeframes
  • Load and off-load your own vehicle in a timely manner ensuring all freight is present and undamaged.
  • Assist with labelling and palletizing if required.
  • Ensure any cargo identified as Known Cargo is carried and handled correctly in compliance with CAA RACA regulations.
  • Monitor the receipt, booking in and dispatch of all Cargo/Goods and record data in accordance with working procedures
  • Ensure all goods received are booked into the company within a timely manner and record data as necessary, POD etc.
  • Ensure freight is screened in accordance with RACA/CAA compliance and is handled correctly and located and is identified as Known Cargo or isolated and handled under warehouse SOP procedures if Unknown Cargo
  • Ensure security obligations are met according to RACA/CAA regulations and compliance. This includes checking delivery driver IDs when receiving any freight and filling out the goods in check sheet, making sure that all warehouse doors are always locked and monitored, ready to challenge any unidentified persons in the warehouse immediately.
  • Keep warehouse tidy and organized
  • Liaise with Manager to identify any changes in work instructions and/or processes where appropriate, thus providing a reliant handling of Cargo/Goods.
  • To undertake duties in accordance with defined processes and work instructions
  • Complete 3PL functions in line with customer expectations
  • Assist operational staff with shipment processing in CargoWise and FirstTrac
  • Liaise with Manager/Supervisor to provide reliant distribution of materials.
