Warehouse/Logistics Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in Warehouse operations – 3PL / logistics/transportation
• A good understanding of Incoterms/customs requirements
• Experience in replenishment of materials and JIT/OTIF
• Excellent Communication skills & problem-solving skills
• Experience in people management desirable but not essential
• Forklift driving license desirable but not essential

TARGET & PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

• Efficiently plan the arrival of raw material, storage of same, and shipping of all production FG material to customers and/or external storage locations.

WORK DUTIES

• Generate purchase requisitions for production material
• Liaise with some suppliers, ensuring quality materials are sourced at competitive price with delivery timed to meet production schedules
• Support strategic group on procurement of Raw Materials & Logistics where applicable
• Manage the administration of stock utilization and stock movement in line with production schedule FIFO basis for both RM & FG
• Set standards in the factory, layout and manage the physical and administrative housekeeping of incoming material and shipping of finished product
• Booking of transportation in accordance with carrier agreements and pricing to meet customer delivery requirements
• All necessary customs processing for imports/exports in accordance with country and EU regulations.
• Proactive updates towards back-office and customer service on transportation issues / delays
• Proactively inform back-office & customer service on updated delivery times as required
• Update of master records for items and transportation as needed
• Preparation of all necessary documents for shipping such as packaging slip, B/L, labels etc.
• Plan, agree and report on purchasing and production budgets.
• Participate in cost reduction projects across all areas of Gorey/ Signode
• Responsible for warehouse personnel, agreeing roles through team planning, agreeing objectives, providing training and development and coaching
• Support the plant Manager on production plan capacity restraints
• Promote and actively support an environment of team players within all departments
