Description:

A great opportunity has opened for a hands-on Warehouse Manager to join a thriving, family-run business in the Northallerton area. As Warehouse Manager you would be responsible for the day-to-day running of this busy warehouse with responsibility for four staff.
The ideal candidate will have experience of all duties associated with goods-in and goods-out and the capability to manage stock control including all stock-taking under your remit. As you will be working in a fast-paced environment the ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively organise and manage all aspects of the warehouse to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the warehouse ensuring that deadlines are met at all times.

Duties:

  • Overall responsibility for operations of the Warehouse and supervision of staff;
  • Ensuring all targets achieved and deadlines met;
  • Picking goods for despatch;
  • Receipt of goods inwards and input onto inventory system;
  • Replenish picking locations when needed;
  • Storing and picking of goods within Warehouse using reach and counterbalance forklift;
  • Loading of goods outward onto distribution vehicles;
  • Full stock control;
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety procedure.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor/Manager;
  • Valid reach and counterbalance forklift licences;
  • NVQ in Warehouse and Distribution desirable;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Previous experience of building and maintaining relationships with customer;
  • Good IT skills;
  • Enthusiastic with an ability to build constructive working relationships with colleagues;
  • Strong communicator with excellent organisational and time management skills;
  • Ability to work flexibly and proactively;
  • Health & Safety trained;
  • Committed and reliable.

This position is working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30-5.30, with 1 hour unpaid for lunch
